1) Safeway: the decor there is quite cosy, with brownish walls and yellow lightings.. pharm*acy there is small but adequate.

2) London Drugs: the first store i went to.. Place is real big with a few consultation tables where the pharmer can sit down and talk to patient. tink this one offers 24hr service. haha NO WAY for sg.

The medication packaging there are super attractive and colourful. And Ensure comes in colourful packs of many bottles As usual, everything is big and in bulk.

One whole shelf of antihistamines and another shelf of cough and cold.

The antihistamines there are practically all OTCs! so cool man, I just asked my mum to stock up on the 3rd class fexofenadine. (aka Telfast in sg) I was already quite surprised that it was a P item at the HK airport, now OTC in Canada~ yey maybe i shud ask her to buy one of each and try. haha
ooh the cough and cold combinations are all about the same just that each brand like to make their own combi and different flavours and different dosage forms. The no of Tylenol (aka panadol) products can line up 3 rows of shelves lor.
Free blood pressure test. Just press a button and wait~~~~ Alrights they have all the space to put such things unlike sg.. booo.

3) Oops i forgot what store is this.. think its shud be some wholesaler supermart

Usually people drop off their Rx at the counter and goes shopping around the whole store. The packers aka pharmers then take their own sweet time to pack med and check the Rx. It takes about 20min to fill a Rx inside such stores. Slack sia.. Oh and i heard that even if the meds can be ready in 5min, they will still tell people to wait so that people will go shopping and buy more things from the store. AHA merchandising strategy as learnt during retail.
Basically a supermarket la.. like the Giant at tampines. And as usual, the pharmacy is placed at the furthest end of the whole store and furthest away from the cashier...
oh side track abit: cab with goot taste.

4) Superstore: canadian supermarket. Here's another marketing strategy:

5) Shoppers Drug Mart: the one with alot of cometics and also the one where Florence is working at in Toronto. :) can see her pics on facebook
By 2010, all the pharmacies there must block off the place where the people pack the meds so that the patients outside can't see what they are packing. This is all for the sake of privacy which seems to be super important to the people there. That is also why I dun dare to take pics of the pharmacies.
All in all, the pace and the environment there is much more stress-free than in sg.
Saw a private pharmacy near my uncle's place and it looked even better than the Guardian at suntec. All the walking aids, medicine balls, diapers, 'toilets' were placed nicely (with labels) and the shelves were neat. and there are private consultations rooms to talk with the patients. shud take a pic next time.
