Back to Nature - Camping @ Devon! Part 2

Now for the Even more FUN part:

It was my first time stepping into a trailer.. and god its really like a mini home inside!

Here I am posing with the kitchen towel: there's a sofa bed inside the trailer!

and this is someone caught slacking on the other bed. thats why i say kotor-ness runs in the family. tskkkk

A visit to the small and cute loo. The shower and toilet bowl and the basin fitted in such a confined area~~

oh the toilet is quite cool. There's the Flush: everything does down the sewage pipe and the Rinse: just washing the bowl w/o flushing down the water. Actually the cooler thing is there is actually a sewage pipe at most trailer parking lots for the trailer toilets to connect to. Saves the time to run to the park toilet. hehe.

But uncle didn't allow us to bathe or do big business inside that toilet. Helps to prevent having to clean up the aftermath of both processes. hahaa

and here's the stove and basin all overloaded with stuff for the bbq:

and the bbq STARTS!! the fire was quickly set up near the trailer becoz it was drizzling already. The smoke kept triggering the alarm inside the trailer so my uncle got fed up and removed the batteries out of the alarm.. hahaha

and here's the outside of the trailer that I was talking about.. basically the trailer is pulled by another car (a truck) to this place. Some of the other trailers have engines and can move on their own like cars.. will show u all later.
dunno why the fire there lights up so easily. I remembered trying for ages back in sg bbq pits. Anyways, so the fire was set and the aluminum-wrapped potatoes/taro/sweet potatoes were placed by the side to be cooked.
let the feast begin~ first up was the sausages then came the pork chops. It's nice and cosy to be chatting around the bbq fire. Saw some of the other campers doing that as well :)

Cousin was the first to proceed to the desserts: the marshmallows. She introduced us to a new way of eating ugly burnt marshmallows. Squeeze it between 2 pieces of biscuit and heat the sides alittle. taste not bad tho.. haha

The pretty ones and the ugly and squashed ones. Cousin puts in extra effort to make pretty marshmallows. good for you, perfectionist :)

But once in awhile, things got out of hand and they become balls on fire~~ ahha

Finally 'switching off' the fire by dusting all the charcoal away. Inevitably, some sparks were produced and I had to take them down again...

After clearing and packing up, we then rested for the night as cousin and I had school/work the next day.

Day 2:

back from work.. took another stroll around the campsite. Here are some of the trailers with engines and other beautiful trailer lots.

This one is literally a bus! The sides of this 'bus' can be pushed out, most probably to open up a bed inside. Haha it'll be great for an Acacian road trip but i'm quite sure this cost a bomb and no one knows how to/want to drive this.

Here's a nicely decorated trailer lot with pushed out shelter from the trailer and fake flowers on the 'lawn'. The reason why it is so nicely decorated is because these people stay here for like a few months inside their trailer. Don't ask me why they don want to live in houses, but the rent there is quite cheap for a few months so I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay closer to nature when winter is out for awhile.

Heard the snow falls for at least 3months during winter so maybe they all got sick of their homes eventually. No wonder people grab things in bulk at the supermarket. Imagine hibernating for 3mths inside the house. haha

Here's another nicely decorated trailer lot. There is supposed to be nothing but a piece of land before renting the place so as you can see: The platform and shelter were all built by the occupants there.

This one has a plastic 'house', benches and fencing.. Really looks like a normal house already. People there really have alot of time to do such leisurely things. *envious*

the main entrance of the whole campsite. Rent there is quite cheap but it's very popular especially during the weekends. that's why my uncle only managed to get some odd days like Sunday to Tuesday.
The mountains tinted orange by the sunset.

Near dusk..

And that ended my first camping experience in Canada. Really enjoyed camping and living close to nature.

Canada for grad trip anyone? haha kidding.
