hoho tempted myself to watch honey and clover again.. haha still very nice after watching it once.
out of curiosity, i watched one episode of the Japanese Honey and Clover. Indeed, not as good as expected. As usual i was reading notes while watching drama and somehow it feels different from the anime.
Firstly, the superficial dislikes for the show:
Mayama-san is too short,
Yamada-san and Hagu-chan is not chio enough,
Taketomo is not NICE enough, (probable can't remove the energetic Nakatsu character from the actor after watching hana kimi)
Morita-san is not wacky and mean, too nice
Hagumi's cousin is not protective enough
Jokes were not very funny, the touchy parts were ok only.
The drama was taken from season 2 of the anime and alot of things had to be explained in the first episode. Don't really like it when shows tell the audience what is what explicitly. The anime had many things left unsaid so that the audience can imagine things for themselves. Nice.
even though i may not figure out the significance of the ferris wheel inside the anime, it feels like it has a special meaning..
sadly speaking, the wheel at sg was rather disappointing because all along I thought ferris wheels should be as beautiful as the one inside the anime.. with many spokes and all.. hmm, are the best things just left to imagination??
