Elements - 圆方

More from HK!! went out to this new shopping mall in Kowloon area after we touched down. This shopping mall is really cool becoz its' divided into 5 sections each representing an element - Wood, Fire, Water, Metal, Earth. And the decor, furniture and even the storefront are designed specially to suit each element theme. Alrights, here we go:

Cineplex and Ice rink near the Wood Zone, typical of big shopping malls in HK.

WOOD ZONE!!
Wooden bench. haha duh rite, but notice the missing holes on the bench??

Here are the missing pieces!! so cool la~~

This is the first Wooden Mannings storefront I've ever seen, usually the colours are like the usual guardian colours.. nice change :)

Wooden toilet?? nah, just wooden cubicles.. hahhaha

OH ya almost forgot to mention that this shopping mall is a high-ended shopping mall. So they even provide free gifts at the toilet after you leave. Me saw many bottles of Loccitane lotion for sample at the makeup counter in the toilet. Was very tempted to try but was rushing for time.. boo.. OH OH i should have taken a pic at the MINI-LOUNGE just outside the toilet!!! omg its so good for gentlemen who are waiting for the ladies la!! There's a sofa bench and racks of magazines just next to it. And obviously those are rather male-ish magazines like Play, Men's Uno, car mags... The whole place was just very thoughtful. haha

Still at the WOOD ZONE: the Wooloomooloo steakhouse. <- wad a mouthful, its like another version of KBBKB. wooloomooloo x5!

To the WATER ZONE:

Mostly I-dunno-but-its-branded shops. Especially at second flr because they arrange shops in the mall according to brand. The more high end the shop is, the higher floor it is placed. Never knew it until my mum told me while shopping in another mall in HK island area.. ya ya high end.
Finally some shops that i know.. not counters but shops.

how to display water in a sophisticated way? fountains are so cliche already...
tada.. these few poles have water running through it... can't capture it :(
and this is WATER ZONE decor, the least fantastic of all 5.

Moving on to FIRE ZONE:

I like Fire Zone the most!! The decor there is really vibrant and cool! Someone will of coz mention that it has good taste, but the colour combi is just nice! I was thinking that it will be blocks of red..
gimme me more fire!!
Fire Xmas tree!!!
My mum went to the toilet at the Fire Zone and this is what she kopped:
Ele-Mints to 下火!!! hahah funny

Off to EARTH ZONE:

Earthy colours. That's why i say fire zone looks more energetic than other areas..
Ash-like Xmas tree!!!

OH i like this decor!! Can think of alot of funny poses to do with these 2 blocks but too bad there's no one to take with me and there's no one to help me take also.. boo!

Lastly, the METAL ZONE:

Second best.

Because they have this Jewellery Shop Chow Sang Sang which a storefront that both suits the metal theme and their own shop theme.. COOL man! Shiny metallic storefront looks posh!!
And the decor at the Metal Zone, not to my liking but my mum likes it.. metal spokes??

Metal Spoke Acrobats

3 Storey high ice rink with benches to sit at each floor..

After touring around the whole mall, we finally settled for dinner at the place with long queue. Haha it was because there aren't many eateries there and the restaurant looks good since there's long queue..

waits for number*

It's Shanghai cuisine so here's the rice cake and pai-gu la mien.

Food was quite good, better than Din tai fung. more variety too and the cups are another cool thing found.

Wintertime the time to explore further places since there's nothing much to shop around.. Next up: another shopping mall to explore: MegaBox!
